Will GTA 6 be on Game Pass?
No, GTA 6 has not been announced for Xbox Game Pass. It launches on November 19, 2026 as a paid game at $79.99. A day one Game Pass release is very unlikely.
Why GTA 6 is not on Game Pass at launch
Game Pass day one releases are mostly Microsoft's own games. GTA 6 is published by Rockstar's parent company Take-Two, which sells it at full price and has every reason to: it is expected to be one of the best selling games ever. Putting it in a subscription on launch day would cost Take-Two a huge amount of sales.
Could it come to Game Pass later?
Possibly, years from now. GTA 5 joined Game Pass several times long after release, and Red Dead Redemption 2 has also rotated in and out. That pattern suggests GTA 6 could appear in a subscription eventually, but nothing has been announced and it would not be soon.
What you do need on Xbox
To play GTA 6 Online on Xbox you will need a subscription that includes online multiplayer, such as Game Pass Essential or higher. Story mode does not require one. On PlayStation, online play needs PlayStation Plus.
