GTA 6 age rating
GTA 6 is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB in North America and carries a PEGI 18 rating in Europe, the same as GTA 5.
ESRB content descriptors
Rockstar's official site lists: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Mature Humor, Nudity, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, Use of Drugs and Alcohol, plus In-Game Purchases. These match the descriptors GTA 5 received.
PEGI 18 in Europe
PEGI 18 means the game is for adults only in most European countries. Some retailers check ID when you buy a physical copy. The PEGI 18 badge appears on the official cover art.
What parents should know
GTA 6 contains everything the descriptors say, and the new launch screenshots show strip clubs, drugs, nudity and gunfights. Both PS5 and Xbox have parental controls that block games by age rating and limit online chat for GTA 6 Online.
