Is GTA 6 coming to Switch 2?
No, GTA 6 has not been announced for Nintendo Switch 2. At launch on November 19, 2026, it is only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Why not on Switch 2?
GTA 6 was built for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, which have far more processing power and memory than a handheld. Rockstar has also never launched a main GTA game on a Nintendo console on day one. Porting a game this large to Switch 2 would be a major project, and Rockstar has said nothing about one.
Could it happen later?
Nothing has been announced. Rockstar has brought older titles to Nintendo hardware, such as Red Dead Redemption and the GTA Trilogy, but always years later. If a Switch 2 version ever comes, expect it well after the PC version, which itself is not announced yet.
How to play GTA 6 if you only own a Switch
You will need a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. The Xbox Series S is the cheapest option; compare them in best console for GTA 6.
